I've moved more than a dozen times, living in four states and three countries. I know how stressful the moving process can be, which is why I've developed a process to make house-hunting as streamlined and efficient as possible. I've sold more than $9 million in Twin Cities real estate and know every corner of the market.

My process has made finding a new home a breeze for families from Massachusetts, California, Nebraska, Ohio, New Jersey, Iowa and other states, with budgets from $150,000 to $700,000.

My Process

Step 1

The first step is "meeting" (whether in person, over the phone, via Skype or FaceTime) to discuss your needs. We'll discuss what amenities are important for you and your family, and I'll help direct you to resources that might make your decision on areas easier, whether your deciding factors are schools, commute times, or access to outdoor activities.

Step 2

You'll receive daily emails with possible homes in as many areas as you'd like to see matching the criteria you choose. The "cart" system I use allows you to mark homes as favorites, possibilities, or to delete.

Step 3

I'll preview homes you've marked as favorites, usually shooting walk-through videos or at least taking copious notes about the homes (for the rare home when taking video isn't allowed) and uploading them to a shared folder for you to view and narrow the list down further. I've previewed as many as 28 homes for a single buyer, and the process saves a lot of time for you when you finally get into town — after all, you don't want to waste time looking at homes that looked great online but were bad matches in person.

Step 4

When you visit, I'll make sure we've budgeted for enough time to see the absolute cream of the crop and that you're confident in your decision. I'll negotiate to get you the best deal possible and will be your eyes and ears on the ground through the inspection, appraisal and closing process. I have a great network of inspectors, contractors, loan officers and title companies, and will be at your side from offer through closing.

We were relocating to the Twin Cities for a job opportunity, and the window for finding a home was very tight. Bryan did a ton of upfront research for us before we even met him in person, which allowed us to pinpoint our house search from a distance and make the most of our house hunting when we arrived in the area. Bryan was knowledgeable about the area (schools, amenities, etc.) and current real estate market, so we always felt we were in competent hands. We zeroed in on our house and made an offer that was accepted, but out of the blue there was a problem with our mortgage lender: our loan had been mishandled and sent to the wrong (aka, not relocation-specific) department, and our closing would have to be delayed due to this error. Bryan went to bat for us and kept the situation under control. In the end, the delay was only a few days, but this is largely due to the extra work Bryan put in with the seller's agent and our lender. Under a stressful situation like that one, it is so important to have an experienced, professional, hard-working agent on your side. Bryan was certainly that for us and our family.
